Can be used with Mail.app

PwMailExt works as a function extension, so you can use the familiar macOS/iOS Mail.app as is. There is no need for complicated settings or procedures, and only emails sent with registered recipients are automatically encrypted/decrypted. (*The iOS version is not automatic and requires one action.)

 $ No cost $

PwMailExt uses common key cryptography, making it simple and easy to use. In some cases, public key cryptography such as S/MIME costs $500 per year for certificates. If it's PwMailExt, it's free! (*Signature function is not available in PwMailExt. Cryptographic function only.)

Practical Security

Encryption is performed robustly using the macOS/iOS standard CryptoKit. In addition, we are not only focusing on the technical aspects, It is also equipped with a function that requires biometric authentication for decryption, in anticipation of possible use cases such as when sharing a mac.

Does not impair the functionality of Mail.app

Not only plaintext, but also HTML emails and emails containing attachments can be encrypted/decrypted (*). Mail.app will add easy-to-understand notations to emails that are subject to encryption/decryption.

You can toggle encryption on and off with a single click to send without encryption.

(*The iOS version only supports image attachments.)

Mail & Finder

No evil processing at all

Due to the specifications of MailKit (macOS framework), the cryption function extension requires permission to access email data. This means that we can peek into the user's email, But PwMailExt does not perform any processing other than cryption. PwMailExt haven't seen what's inside. You can use it with confidence.

If you are still unsure, we are selling the source code of PwMailExt. $1,400~. Please contact us for details.

Mail.app on iOS too

Even in the iOS version of Mail.app, which does not have a function extension mechanism, PwMailExt can be called from the share button as an "App Extension", making decryption possible on the Mail.app. This is a much smarter and more secure method than using a third-party email app.

iOS Mail
